Game Cafe - CapBar

Awesome set up and always popular, CapBar is an absolute must.

Recent years have seen a lot of game themed cafés come and go (still waiting on a Sega cafe..), CapBar on the other hand made the decision to collaborate with the well established, specialist restaurant "Pasela Resorts".

Pasela's food and service are both pretty decent. Good portions made the prices easier to swallow.

Although this is likely to be a very Monster Hunter centric experience, the passion from the staff and variety on the menu will make even no gamers pretty pleased overall.

In recent months the amount of English speaking staff has increased a bunch load, with menus and instructions on how to handle the shouty moments (for example any time you order Phoenix Wright onion rings..) also made available. The menu and stuff might be a little bit of a struggle first time but Guile's theme will get you through all that.

Arcade "Taito Inn" - Kanda, Tokyo

We kinda avoid covering major arcade chains but wanted to give a shoutout to this Taito.

A real small setup but an impressive assortment of games, UFO catchers, pinball machines and darts too.

"Taito Inn" and the black banner gives the place an older customer vibe. Even major chains like Taito have to understand their local demographic, this town being right next to Akiba needed something a little different to huddle salarymen in the area. Pinball machines are few and far between Tokyo way, and having mahjong and pachinko means it isn't attracting the younger audiences.

Definitely worth checking out.

"CapBar" - Shinjuku, Tokyo

No way around it, gotto be on your must do list in Tokyo. 

Catering (literally) for the Capcomunity in Japan, this game themed restaurant won't disappoint. Shoryuken beverages, Phoenix Wright onion rings and Resident Evil brain cakes are just half the story, with everything delivered with a performance from your waiter (often shocking).

This place has been pretty successful and doesn't show signs of letting up (bars such as the ResiEvil place seem to have shut down months after opening). Being a pretty small place, guaranteeing seats means booking in advance is a must.
