Retrotailer - Mandrake Galaxy, Nakano

Few places in Tokyo will bring retro gamers to their knees quite like this place.

Jam packed with everything you'd want to see in a 90's gaming time capsule, including a bunch of Game and Watch handheld devices, toys, posters and the like.

A phenomenal bunch of games from every major console earmarked with Mandrakes condition label means gives customers a price variance too. You'll be paying through the nose for mint condition games (which is fair), but for gamers just wanting to find that beat up copy, there's crates full of non-boxed goods to look through.

Standouts include -

Ristar - 18,000¥
TMNT - 15,000¥
BattleToads - 18,000¥
(G&W) Hungry Weiner (lol) - 25,000¥
(G&W) Batman - 3,800¥

ROBOT ROBOT - Nakano Broadway

Phenomenal bunch of 80's and 90's throwback merch.

Outside of Akiba, Nakano Boroadway is definitely the place to be if you're lookin for action figures, retro toys and gamin junk from yesteryear. ROBOTROBOT has 2 stores, this time we'll be looking at their western selection on the 3rd Floor.

All kinds of classic goods, most of which can't be found in standard figurine dealers, from Ghostbusters to Reboot to Earthworm Jim. Specializing in foreign goods sets ROBOTROBOT apart from almost all other suppliers in Tokyo, although often goods are neglected and hunked together, prices reflect quality.

Mindblowing mount of Crash Bandicoot, Sonic, Pacman and Parappa the Rapper related goods.

"Game Tiger", Nakano Broadway

Not really a gaming arcade, more of a pachinko place, but being directly across from "Big マリオ" it's worth popping through while you're in town.

Game Trader - "Big マリオ", Nakano Broadway

Independent game trading stores outside Akihabara are pretty few and far between so it's a pretty cool place to drop into. Competitive prices, some dope deals on used games and trade ins too.

50¥ PSOne games make it well worth a visit, and Nakano itself is littered with Gaming Cafés and arcades all over.
